Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, which causes them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon: Stupid Old Deadly Bear (2022). I approach this review with caution and admit that «Skeleton Crew»; Apparently, it is designed for a younger audience. Although children may like it, I found the first four episodes rather depressing. The story lacks depth, it is more like a children’s film that jumps from place to place without any special consequences. The military background seems superficial, and the action sequences do not have the effect they should have. The acting of the actors, although not terrible, could have been better, especially considering the level of some of the actors. Even Jude Law seems to pick it up from time to time. The production design is impressive, but it can’t save the story, which feels slow and ultimately completely forgettable. Maybe the series will improve later, but judging by the first viewing, I’m not sure.
